Increasingly the law is composed of detailed prohibitions
or rules. The way in which many of these obligations are publicized
and made effective is in an Act of a provincial legislature or
of the federal parliament. So, for example, the Income Tax Act
has a wide variety of rules which apply to different situations
and in varying degrees of detail.
